CRV Recycling Attendant
The CRV Recycling Attendant is responsible for assisting customers with the return of California Redemption Value (CRV) beverage containers, ensuring accurate processing, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized recycling environment. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle physical tasks efficiently.

Main Duties
-
Greet customers courteously and provide clear instructions on the CRV recycling process.

Sort and count beverage containers according to state CRV regulations and center policies.

Operate reverse vending machines, conveyor belts, or other processing equipment safely and efficiently.

Inspect containers for eligibility, cleanliness, and damage.

Accurately record and process refunds or store credits for returned containers.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the recycling area, including emptying bins and sweeping floors.

Follow all safety protocols and handle materials in compliance with health and environmental regulations.

Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or other operational issues to management promptly.

Assist in inventory management and restocking of supplies as needed.

Provide excellent customer service, addressing questions, concerns, and complaints professionally.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Prior experience in customer service, retail, or recycling operations is a plus.

Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs safely.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions and processing containers.

Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Basic computer skills for logging transactions and maintaining records

Valid driver license and transportation.

Available to work weekends
