What is CA-CRV?

California Redemption Value (CRV) is a state-mandated deposit you pay when buying certain beverages in recyclable containers. You get that money back when you redeem the empty containers at a certified buyback location like Hambro Recycling.

CRV applies only to eligible beverage containers — not all recyclables.

Eligible CRV Containers

We accept CRV-labeled:

Aluminum cans
Glass beverage bottles
Plastic beverage bottles (including beverage pouches & cartons*)
Bi-metal beverage containers.

*New for 2024: Wine, distilled spirits, wine coolers & spirit coolers packaged in boxes, bladders, or pouches qualify for CRV.

24 oz & larger = $0.10 each

Wine/Spirits pouches, boxes, bladders*

Canje por contenedor versus por peso

Los clientes pueden solicitar que se les pague por conteo hasta 50 envases de bebidas CRV de cada tipo de material por transacción: 50 de vidrio, 50 de aluminio y 50 de plástico. Los límites de carga diaria de los contenedores de bebidas CRV vacíos son de 100 libras cada uno para aluminio y plástico, y de 1,000 libras para vidrio.
